1 – During registration for the CUBES competition

The personal data collected on the CUBE.S website includes:

Name and Surname of the user

  • Number of buildings to register
 

This data is collected when the user fills out the registration request.
The data controller will retain all collected data in its computer systems and under reasonable security conditions for a period of 5 years from the moment the establishment is officially registered for the competition.

The collection and processing of this data serve the following purposes:

The personal data provided by the user allows us to respond to their registration request for the CUBE.S competition and to analyze if the user can be eligible for the competition.

2 – Participation in the questionnaire as part of the Family Study

The Family Study conducted as part of the CUBE.S competition presents a questionnaire whose results are collected by Harris Interactive, a market research and opinion polling institute. The personal data collected by Harris Interactive on the URL https://cube-s.org/etude-famille includes:
  • Age of the student
  • Gender
  • Name of the establishment
  • Eco-delegate function
  • Student’s class
  • Awareness of the CUBE.S competition among student respondents and parent respondents
  • Implementation of the CUBE.S competition within the establishment
  • Appreciation of the CUBE.S competition
  • Reasons for appreciation of the CUBE.S competition
  • Use of the ambassador kit
  • Appreciation of the ambassador kit
  • Awareness of the Energic application
  • Appreciation of the Energic application
  • Personal involvement level in the CUBE.S competition
  • Motivations to participate in the CUBE.S competition
  • Declared impact of the CUBE.S competition on the student

This data is collected anonymously when the user fills out the questionnaire hosted on the Harris Interactive website. At the end of the questionnaire, parents are invited to fill out a form to grant electronic authorization to the competition organizers (IFPEB/A4MT) to access their energy consumption data and analyze its evolution, called “Family Study: energy consumption” form. In this form, a personal identification code is requested to link the questionnaire responses with the energy consumption data of volunteering parents. Thus, families that have both completed the questionnaire and filled out the form expressly consent to the use of their identification form data for analyzing their questionnaire responses. In other words, families that have responded to both the questionnaire and the form expressly waive the anonymity of the responses given to the questionnaire. The personal data collected is not intended to be published as part of the study. The collection and processing of this data serve the following purposes:
  • Understand how the CUBE.S competition is perceived in participating schools and its impacts on students and their families,
  • Determine new environmentally friendly gestures or practices learned and implemented,
  • Identify transfers of environmentally friendly practices in energy between the establishment and the student’s home,
  • Determine which elements implemented in the establishment promote these transfers,
  • Understand the levers and barriers to transfers,
  • Evaluate the pedagogical impact of the CUBE.S competition and the role that education of young generations can play in responsible and citizen environmental behaviors,
  • Evaluate family involvement in educational and environmental action.

3 – Participation in the Energy Consumption Study as part of the Family Study

The personal data collected by IFPEB on the URL https://cube-s.org/etude-famille-22/ includes:

  • Child’s class whose school participates in CUBE.S
  • Name of the establishment
  • Type of housing in which the child lives
  • Surface area in m2 of the accommodation
  • Building construction period
  • Number of people residing in the household
  • Heating mode within the accommodation
  • Type of energy for heating
  • Electricity PDL (Point de Livraison)
  • If applicable, gas PCE (Point de Comptage et d’Estimation)
  • CUBE.S identification code
 

This data is collected when the user fills out the Family Study: energy consumption form.
The data controller will retain all collected data in its computer systems and under reasonable security conditions until December 31, 2025.

The collection and processing of this data serve the following purposes:

  • Evaluate to what extent awareness-raising actions on energy issues carried out in the child’s school participating in the CUBE.S competition may also have benefited the child’s household,
  • Analyze energy consumption within the household before and after participation in the CUBE.S competition,
  • Compare the experience regarding changes in environmentally friendly behaviors and the reality of energy consumption within the household.

B - Legal Basis for the Collection and Processing of Personal Data on the website www.cube-s.org

The data collected on this site and subject to processing by the site’s publisher in accordance with this privacy policy are collected under the express authorization granted by the user at the time of data collection.

This authorization is granted by the user when they check the box corresponding to the expressly dedicated mention stating “I acknowledge that I have read and accept the provisions of the privacy policy of the website www.cube-s.org and expressly consent to the collection and processing of my personal data in accordance with the purposes set out in the privacy policy”. 

C - Transmission of Data to Third Parties

If the user is a minor under the age of 15, the agreement of a legal representative will be required for the collection and processing of personal data.
